Have you ever written a marketing plan? It can be painful, right? Usually that pain comes from diving in without first thinking about some fundamental parts of a plan. Before you know it, you start to contradict yourself, or you leave gaps.

Don’t start by writing your plan! Instead, plan the plan and focus on these elements first:

  1. who you’re targeting
  2. why they would choose you
  3. what your competitors do
  4. and which channels (ex: email, social media, etc) will work best
